Buffalo LINCOLN Dealer Presents MKT as Consumers Digest ‘Best Buy’

2011 lincoln mkt buffaloThe LINCOLN MKT is a confidence-inspiring, sure-footed, high-end driver- whether you’re traveling across country or Buffalo. West Herr Ford LINCOLN Mercury is not surprised that the LINCOLN MKT was named a Consumer Digest Best Buy.

Award-winning LINCOLN MKT For Sale in Buffalo

Loosely based upon the same platform as the Ford Flex, the styling of the MKT is much more flamboyant. Wrapped across the nose is a massive dual waterfall grille. Out back, the substantial tail lamp sweeps completely across the entire lift gate. Across the flanks, there’s a beveled chamfer along the vehicle’s beltline, along with a flowing kick-up that frames the greenhouse. Precision stitching on the leather-trimmed seating surfaces (front row seats feature standard heating and cooling; second row outboard seats feature standard heating and optional cooling), power-folding optional third-row seats, floating armrests, a massive, multiple-panel fixed-glass roof, an optional flow-through, second-row refrigerated center console, along with a stunning acrylic instrument cluster with LED white lighting.

For Buffalo LINCOLN drivers, the balance of the dash is covered in a stitched leather-look material that extends over the upper door panels. The instrument cluster consists of a large, chrome-trimmed speedometer in the center flanked by a 7,000-rpm tach on the left and a combination fuel level/water temperature gauge on the right, with a transmission gear indicator separating the pair. The instrument panel center stack, complete with an available large GPS navigation display, sound system and climate control system controls, tapers down rather gracefully toward the center console.

Standard features for Buffalo LINCOLN shoppers include an 8-inch color touch screen for audio and climate controls, rearview camera, nearly 10 GB hard drive for music storage, “intelligent access” with push button start, SecuriCode™ keyless entry keypad and adaptive headlamps with HID lamps. Plus, the vehicle features automatic high beams, rain-sensing wipers, reverse-sensing system, power opening/closing rear liftgate, 12-way powered, heated-and-cooled front-row seating, adjustable pedals, heated second-row outboard seats, ambient lighting, standard fixed glass Vista Roof, and more.

The secondary seating area provides 40-plus inches of legroom per side and each of the seats recline and each are equipped with fore-aft adjustment. The family entertainment system with twin, 7-inch DVD playback screens can be configured to provide individual or simultaneous programming, perfect for Buffalo LINCOLN families. Power third-row seating is optional. When folded, the load floor proves absolutely flat, which makes luggage loading and storage a snap.

The MKT is very quiet due to the additional sound deadening within the ductwork system to silence blower noise, along with aero-tuning of the side mirrors to counteract wind noise. The available adaptive cruise control with collision warning with brake support is engineered to help warn the driver of an impending accident with a vehicle in front of him (using radar as a key sensor). There’s an available blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, as well as an optional special “neural THX surround sound system.” Then there’s the available active park assist. The system identifies a parallel parking spot then, by way of an array of sensors, handles the steering (note: driver maintains control of the gas/brake pedals and the shifting) to maneuver the MKT into place. It’s only available on MKT models equipped with the EcoBoostTM engine package, as the EcoBoost model is the only MKT with Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS).

The 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers the rush of a V8, with the fuel economy of a small displacement six. The force-fed six cylinder produces 355 horsepower along with 350 lb.-ft. of torque across a wide rpm range (with premium fuel). LINCOLN employed water-cooled, twin parallel turbochargers that function simultaneously and work in tandem with a direct-injection fuel system to produce instant power upon demand. The EcoBoost V6 produces maximum torque at a very low 3,500 rpm. Equally significant, the torque curve is almost as flat as a pancake. All EcoBoost MKT models come standard with seamless all-wheel drive. The AWD system is fully automatic; using an advanced array of internal electro-mechanical clutches to efficiently distribute torque between front and rear wheels when slip is detected.

Buffalo LINCOLN dealer Proud to Present 2011 LINCOLN MKX

2011 LINCOLN MKX BuffaloBuffalo LINCOLN dealer, West Herr Ford LINCOLN Mercury, showcases the 2011 LINCOLN MKX which produces 305 horsepower – best among V6 competitors and 40 more than the outgoing product – with improved, best-in-class fuel economy.

The 2011 LINCOLN MKX available at West Herr Ford LINCOLN Mercury represents LINCOLN’s ability to update an already outstanding vehicle to include a blend of top level performance and much improved fuel efficiency. Offered in the FWD and AWD models the LINCOLN MKX is available for review and a test drive at your Buffalo LINCOLN Dealer.

Equipped with a new, standard 3.7-liter V6, the new LINCOLN MKX is a class leader in terms of both power and fuel economy. The new, larger displacement engine produces 305 hp along with 280 lb.- ft. of torque. That’s a huge gain over last year (a 15 percent increase in power and a 12 percent increase in torque). Backing the new Ti-VCT V-6 is a superlative six-speed Select Shift Automatic that makes even spirited driving pleasurable. LINCOLN points out that the SelectShift transmission doesn’t second-guess the driver, giving him or her control over gear selection and performance feel. Upshifts, for instance, are not commanded at redline, and downshifts are allowed at the lowest gear possible as defined by the engine speed.

You can’t ignore the LINCOLN MKX’s handling capability either. It’s nimble, even when compared to other vehicles (not only CUVs). The front of the LINCOLN MKX is suspended by way of a pair of MacPherson struts while the rear is a fully independent multilink arrangement. Although tuned somewhat for ride comfort (and consequently tuned to absorb the jolts of irregular road surfaces), the LINCOLN MKX is very capable of being hustled through corners and curves. It’s agile and, thanks to an upgraded braking system (larger rotors, improved friction materials, revised booster and revised pedal ratios), the stopping power has definitely been enhanced.

As pointed out elsewhere, stability control is a standard feature. With this feature, if you get in over your head in a driving situation, LINCOLN AdvanceTrac with RSC (roll stability control) stability-assist system is designed to get you out of trouble. The LINCOLN MKX includes front, front seat side and side curtain airbags, along with four-wheel anti-lock brakes.

New four-wheel disc brakes provide enhanced stopping power. Key brake system upgrades include steel pistons, larger rear rotors, revised brake friction materials, revised brake booster and revised pedal ratios, all of which enable more initial bite and a firmer, more confident feel when customers press on the brake pedal.

The 2011 LINCOLN MKX also offers several new brake-related features: hill start assist, which reduces rollback on hills; trailer sway control, which provides greater towing stability when equipped with the available trailer tow package; hydraulic brake assist, which provides greater braking force in emergency stops; and available adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support.

Three main powertrain upgrades contribute to a quieter 2011 LINCOLN MKX from a powertrain NVH perspective. One is the more robust engine cover. Intake and exhaust systems also have been completely retuned for a crisper note corresponding to LINCOLN powertrain DNA. Finally, a “tighter” torque converter reduces engine rpm on launch and tip-in events, reducing engine noise.
